The slender, elegant product of meticulous labor and rigorous testing, the Men's Classic "Cuvette" Slim Automatic Watch is a sophisticated, flexible timepiece together with a neat, straightforward design. This understated, masculine timepiece boasts a excellence 20-jewel automatic self-wind movement and battery-free operation--just move your arms to power the watch. It in addition features a stainless steel case and bezel, as well as a quiet-gray dial together with a date display at three o'clock and a seconds subdial above six o'clock. Silver-tone Arabic numeral markers and hands do it a snap to read the time at a glimpse, and an embossed brown leather strap imparts a casual, comfortable feel. Good watch, but finicky winder 2010-09-01

I've had mine for a few months now, and I've been generally pleased with its durability and the way it looks. The materials, including the band, are all top-notch. The face is very shiny and metallic, more than is apparent in the pictures. The back has a window that opens up to all the mechanical parts.

My only serious complaint is that the winder knob is very finicky and can easily break the delicate mechanics of the watch. If you try to set the date with the hands between the hours of 9 and 4 it will break something inside. I did this to mine, so watch out! Luckily it seems that doing this only disables the ability to quickly and manually set the date. The date can still be set by winding the hands, and will still advance as normal. Not a show-stopper, but very annoying.

A good looking piece, while it lasted, which is about three months with very limited use. It would not hold winding from day one, and now it stopped; no manual or automatic winding would make it run again. This is what you get when you think that an automatic comes cheap. No they don't...

Great looking watch. The watch front is ornate with large easy to read numbers. Watch window is indeed scratch resistent and needs minimal care. Functionally, the watch keeps great time and hasn't had any winding or other issues. A draw back is that the date is difficult to read. It is to small for older eyes to see. I would have preferred it to be larger for ease of viewing. Date function setting has an idiosyncrasy that should be corrected-Instructions indicate that setting the date between 2100 and 0400 hours will cause damage to the date function. A watch of this type should not have an issue with date setting. It is not a Breitling, but overall the watch is a good value.

Just received my first Stuhrling and couldn't be more pleased. Looks better than Amazon picture. Looks and feels like "Old Money". Love it!!!

The beautiful swirl-patterned engraved dial and raised stainless numerals give this timepiece a beyond-its-cost appearance. The grey and silver dial and brown croc-look leather strap are an unusual eye-catching combination (although, for me, the strap was a bit long). But most importantly, this Japanese automatic movement is an accurate time-keeper -- what a surprise! I saw a similar-looking automatic timepiece (Swiss Made) being sold under the David Yurman name for more than $2000 -- except for a higher quality real croc strap with a deployment clasp -- it offered little more than this "Cuvette." Although not really "slim" as the description implies, the small footprint that widens as it nears the bezel creates an extremely comfortable feel on your wrist. This is a winner!!!

PS . . . To add some credibility to this review, please note that I am a collector that owns some very expensive timepieces (Omega, Breitling, Cartier, Concord, etc).
